Our Company

PT. Oenggul Pipa Inspeksitama (OPI) is a subsidiary of Oil Pipeline Inspection Sdn. Bhd., established in 1989 as a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) service provider, initially focused on the onshore and offshore oil and gas pipeline construction industry.

Entering the Indonesian market in 1995, PT. OPI began expanding and diversifying its service portfolio into projects involving the development and fabrication of oil and gas exploration and production facilities, petrochemical plants, power generation facilities, shipyards, and other industrial sectors.

NDT technologies are broad, highly complex, and continuously evolving. PT. OPI consistently monitors emerging and relevant technologies, evaluating their capabilities to deliver practical, cost-effective, and reliable NDT solutions for its customers. Selecting the right inspection method depends on experience and, often, innovative thinking. In certain applications, multiple NDT methods may be required to fully satisfy inspection requirements. By assisting clients in determining the most suitable technological solutions for accurate information, PT. OPI enables precise, efficient, and cost-effective NDT inspections and evaluations.

PT. OPI is a leader in the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) industry, providing a wide range of conventional and advanced inspection techniques to evaluate materials and systems. Our technical and engineering teams consist of qualified inspectors capable of performing conventional NDT methods, including Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Radiographic Testing (RT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), and Visual Testing (VT). We also offer advanced NDT services such as Automated Ultrasonic Testing (AUT) and Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT), all conducted in compliance with applicable national standards and customizable to meet the specific requirements of our clients.

Our Services

Advanced ultrasonic inspection to detect internal defects and measure material integrity. PAUT provides high-accuracy imaging for welds, pipelines, and critical structures — without damaging the equipment.

NDT method using X-ray or gamma radiation to reveal internal weld defects and structural discontinuities. Ideal for pipelines, pressure vessels, and critical components with clear and reliable imaging results.

Surface and near-surface inspection using magnetic fields and iron particles to identify cracks or discontinuities on ferromagnetic materials — fast, reliable, and ideal for welds and structural components.

A surface inspection technique using visible or fluorescent dye to detect cracks, porosity, and other open-to-surface flaws on non-porous materials — simple, efficient, and highly effective.
